India Today news reporter Mausami Singh outlines the happenings of the farmers protest at the Singhu border. She said, “Once I was cornered at a terrace where angry young farmers were staring at me with hateful eyes. They were not listening but we persisted, day after day doing our stories.” She went on to narrate the ordeals faced by several news reporters. Mausami added, “My colleague Satender Chauhan had a broken head in Chandigarh while covering a protest. Another colleague Jitender Bahadur was mobbed on the Burari grounds.” She adds that despite facing all such challenges, journalists have been at the forefront covering the real issues and bringing it to the notice of the people at large.
