Japanese asteroid probe brings back samples that may reveal origin of planets

A Japanese capsule carrying the first extensive sample taken from an asteroid has been retrieved on the morning of December 6, 2020. Having landed in Australia, the return of the samples marked the end of the six-year mission of the Hayabusa2 unmanned spacecraft.
