Sunil Gavaskar feels Shami will give tough challenge to Steve Smith on Short Ball| Oneindia Sports

Australians are known to play a hard and aggressive form of cricket, it's not a hidden fact. Their players start the war even before the commencement of a series, mind games being a part of it. Recently, former Australia captain and his team's batting mainstay, Steve Smith has spread some light on the prospect of facing short balls from India bowlers. He had said that New Zealand pacer Neil Wagner had enjoyed success against him by using the short balls but not everyone is as talented as him. Smith had added that short balls were something he was used to and they don't "stress" him out.

कुछ दिन पहले स्टीवन स्मिथ ने ये बयान दिया था कि उन्हें छोटी गेंद से डर नहीं लगता है. अगर भारतीय गेंदबाज शोर्ट गेंद फेंकेंगे. तो स्मिथ को ही फायदा होगा. क्योंकि इस गेंद को खेलने में अब उन्होंने महारत हासिल कर ली है. और प्लान बेकार हो जाएगा. अब इस पर सुनील गावस्कर ने स्मिथ की बातों को सिरे से नकारा है. गावस्कर का मानना है कि कोई भी बल्लेबाज छोटी गेंद को के खिलाफ खेलने के लिए तैयार नहीं होता. स्पोर्ट्स्टार से बातचीत में गावस्कर ने कहा, “शॉर्ट बॉल के लिए कोई भी तैयार नहीं रहता है! एक अच्छी शॉर्ट गेंद बल्लेबाजों की सबसे अच्छी परेशानी होगी. कोई भी ये नहीं कह सकता कि ‘मैं तैयार हूं’.” गावस्कर ने कहा की आगामी सीरीज में भारतीय तेज गेंदबाज, खासकर मोहम्मद शमी स्मिथ के लिए परेशानी खड़ी कर सकते हैं.
