24-Year-Old With Congestive Heart Failure Encourages Positivity — Joins RTM

At just 22 years old, Dantrell Brown was diagnosed with congestive heart failure after losing his breath during a basketball game. Needless to say, the diagnosis rocked his and his fiancée’s world, as they were also expecting their first child at the time. Two years and multiple hospital visits later, Dantrell now has a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) to help stabilize his heart.

Since getting back to everyday life, Dantrell uses social media to not only educate others on congestive heart failure, but also to spread positivity and encourage people to keep smiling, no matter what life throws their way. To give us an update on his health and tell us more about his inspiring outlook, Dantrell joins the *RTM* hosts via video chat.
