Moon will appear quite late on Ahoi Ashtami. On this day, there will be a moonrise at 12: 02 minutes late at night. In such a situation, most of the fasts are passed after seeing the stars. In most places there is a tradition of completing the fast by looking at the stars.

अहोई अष्टमी के दिन चंद्रमा काफी देर से दिखाई देगा। इस दिन देर रात 12 बजकर 02 मिनट पर चंद्रोदय होगा। ऐसे में अधिकतर व्रती तारों को देखने के बाद पारण कर लेती हैं। अधिकतर जगहों पर तारों को देखकर ही व्रत पूरा करने की परंपरा है।
