Coronavirus: Over 450 Indians Stranded In Iran & Italy Brought Back, Quarantined At Army Facility

The world is fighting to curb the deadly coronavirus which has claimed over 6000 lives and infected more than 165,000 people. An Air India flight with 53 Indians evacuated from coronavirus hit-Iran landed in New Delhi on March 16, 2020. The passengers were flown to Jaisalmer where they have been quarantined at the Army Wellness Centre. On March 15, 236 Indians stranded in Iran arrived in India. They have been also been quarantined at the Army Wellness Centre in Jaisalmer. They were already tested prior to their departure from Iran. The government also evacuated Indians stranded in Italy amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Flight carrying 218 Indian nationals landed at the Delhi airport on March 15. Evacuees were shifted to Indo-Tibetan Border Police Camp.
