Yamuna River Water Quality Improves, Turns Blue, Looks Cleaner, Amid Coronavirus Lockdown

The lockdown in the wake of coronavirus outbreak is healing the ecosystem. After river Ganga, the water quality of river Yamuna has also improved. Nature activists & enthusiasts are thrilled to find out that the water of river Yamuna is gradually turning blue. Rakesh Tewari, vice president, Mathur Chaturvedi Parishad, told PTI, “After 42 years, we could see clear Yamuna waters on ‘Yamuna Chhath' on March 30.”
