Delhi Flood: Water Level Of Yamuna River Rises Further, Flooding Near Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Residence

Water level in Yamuna river has been rising at an alarming level. At 7 am on July 13, the water level in Yamuna was 208.46 metres. Hathnikund barrage in Haryana continues to release water into the Yamuna, reported NDTV. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah requesting that limited water should be released by Haryana from Hathnikund barrage. Ring Road in the Civil Lines area has also been flooded. Stretch connecting Majnu ka Tila with Kashmiri Gate ISBT has been closed. And this place is just 500 metres from the residence of CM Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi CM Kejriwal has warned people in low-lying areas to evacuate their homes soonest. Heavy rainfall has led to severe damage at many places in North India.
