Sumit Nagal defeated Bradley Klahn in the opening round to book a place in the second round of US Open 2020. Nagal won the game 6-1, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 and is likely to face either of Dominic Theim or Jaume Munar. This is the first time since 2013 that an Indian has won a singles main draw match at a Grand Slam.
