Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH), recommended eating dates during Ramzan: “Break your fast by eating dates as it is purifying.” Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to break his fast with either a few fresh or dried dates or a sip of water. The advice given by the Prophet is backed by scientific evidence as dates help restore low blood sugar for those who have been fasting all day.
