رُسل کے بعد عالم نے کہاں تجھ سا بشر دیکھا
ستاروں میں تجھے ہی تو سدا گردِ قمر دیکھا
بدر، خندق، اُحد ،خیبر سفر ہو یا وہ ہجرت کا
سدا تجھ کو زمانے نے نبیؐ کا ہم سفر دیکھا
بہت جھیلے ستم تُو نے خُدا کے دین کی خاطر
تجھے آقؐا کی حرمت پر فدا کرتے جگر دیکھا
لکھو گا میں سدا تجھ کو سمندر اک وفاوں کا
تجھے آقؐا کی الفت میں گِھرا شام و سحر دیکھا
خدا کے دشمنو پر تُو سدا ٹوٹا قہر بن کر
نظر آیا تُو میداں میں صحابہؓ نے جدھر دیکھا
کہے انور سخاوت کا تجھے پیکر یہی سچ ہے
سخاوت پر تری حیران دنیا نے عمر دیکھا
English Translation:
Where did the world; after PROPHET (P.B.U.H) see a human being like you?
In stars I always saw you around the moon.
Whether it is a journey to Badr, Khandaq, Uhud, Khyber or the migration.
Time has always seen you as a companion of the PROPHET (P.B.U.H).
You suffered a lot for the sake of God's religion.
I saw you sacrificing your life for the sanctity of PROPHET (P.B.U.H).
I will always write you the sea of faithfulness.
I saw you lost in the PROPHET's (P.B.U.H) love from dawn to dusk.
You fell upon ALLAH's enemies like an asteroid.
Wherever the Companions looked in the field, they saw you.
Anwar calls you a figure of generosity, and its a fact.
O Umar (R.A)! the world was amazed at the generosity.
