Army commanders to review situation in Ladakh at 4-day meet; Kangana, Maha CM spar over actor’s PoK remark; more

In a four-day conference, top commanders of the Army will carry out a comprehensive assessment of India’s combat readiness in eastern Ladakh and other sensitive areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China. Meanwhile, actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been at loggerheads with Shiv Sena-ruled Maharashtra government ever since she compared Mumbai to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), attacked state chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday by calling him a “petty, vengeful, myopic and ill-informed”, after the latter’s “ganja fields in your state” jibe at the actress.
