Pushpanjali has a special significance in Navratri. Mahagauri will be duly worshiped only after offering a special wreath on the morning of Ashtami on the 8th day. On this day all people offer flowers to Maa Durga. Along with the Bengalis, every pandal has a wreath rule on the night of Saptami and on the morning of Ashtami, and Bengalis do it with great fervor.
