Doctors,Nurse and medical staffs are in the frontline of the battle against coronavirus pandemic "which has now affected close to 3,000 Doctors in India" says Doctor Ravindranath

Citing shortage of manpower, staff nurse staged a protest at the Government Omandurar Medical College Hospital, on Wednesday. Nurses from other hospitals also joined the protest. A staff nurse says that “For one shift we have 20 to 23 staff nurses for around 400 patients.We have three shifts,” a protester said.

Continuing efforts to ramp-up healthcare workforce in the fight against COVID-19, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami said over 1,000 nurses have been recruited and announced retaining the services of government doctors, set to retire this month.

Outside Government Royapettah Hospital used disinfected clothes has been disposed in the roadside garbage.Vikatan team has involved and took further action on it.
