Bharatiya Janata Party leader tweeted that late Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa’s close aide VK Sasikala will likely be released from a prison in Bengaluru on August 14, 2010.
Currently serving a four-year sentence, Sasikala had surrendered before the prison authorities on February 15, 2017, a day after the Supreme Court upheld her September 2014 conviction in a disproportionate assets case by a trial court in Bengaluru.Dr Aseervatham Achary, the coordinator of the BJP's Documentation and Library Department, had yesterday tweeted that Sasikala is likely to be released from prison in August.
