R.K Nagar constiuency was headed by former ADMk chief and Tamilnadu CM late.Jayalalithaa, after her death that place stood empty without an MLA. EC announced R.K Nagar elections on April, TTV Dhinakarana and OPS team where competating each other on the field. EC cancelled the election has lots of money involving in this elections. Now they have announced re-elections in R.K Nagar on December 21. Now there are some restrictions brought by EC they are Candidates should finish their campaign by 6 PM, earlier it was till 10 PM. Limited no.of street booths to be installed, earlier it was for every streets. Out station vehicles are not allowed inside without the permission of EC. TTV Dhinkaran was not that fame while he was doing his first campaign, later his face has become familar to all the residents of R.K Nagar with his campaigning style, but he stays cool and says you took two leaves symbol from me, now the hat symbol as well. Dhinakaran winning or losing its in the hands of R.K Nagar residents.
