U.S. Air Force refuels Polish F-16 fighter jet

A US refuelling plane connects to a Polish F-16 fighter jet in mid-air to refuel it as part of two international training exercises after having taken off from an RAF base in the UK. The footage was shared on Twitter by United States Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA) as part of the Astral Knight 2020 and Thracian Viper 2020 multinational exercises. USAFE-AFAFRICA wrote on Twitter: “Astral Knight 2020 is happening now! The exercise is an integrated air and missile defence exercise focused on conducting defence of key terrain. “As part of the exercise, a (Boeing) KC-135 from RAF Mildenhall (a Royal Air Force station in Suffolk in the UK) refuelled a Poland MOD F-16. #StrongerTogether.” Despite being a Royal Air Force station, RAF Mildenhall is primarily used to house American USAF operations, and is currently home to the US' 100th Air Refuelling Wing. Astral Knight 2020 is a multinational exercise involving airmen and soldiers from the United States working with allies from Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Sweden.
