Kangana Ranaut-Urmila Matondkar Row: Who Said What?
Speaking on the issue of rampant drug use in Bollywood and defamation of Mumbai as a city, Bollywood actor Urmila Matondkar asked Kangana Ranaut to do the entire film industry a huge favour and reveal the "big names" of those she said she knows are part of the Bollywood drug mafia. On Kangana Ranaut's allegations of rampant drug abuse in the film industry, Urmila Matondkar said the drug scene in India in general is very big and unfortunately, they are apparently available very easily in the country. "But to claim that the entire film industry is all about drug mafia is not just an overstatement, but I don't even know what to call it." Speaking about Kangana’s comments on Mumbai and her comparing it with Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), Urmila said that Kangana earned her due name in the city and was now all of a sudden defaming it which wasn’t correct on her part. She said, “Everything that you have got today -- the name, the fame and the money -- is all thanks to Mumbai and the film industry. Why is it that you have not spoken about these things in the last so many years and are speaking about all this only in the last few months? The timing seems funny. Everything seems going a bit berserk.”
