Manali to Leh: World's longest tunnel above 10,000 feet ready after 10 years

After 10 years of long wait, World's longest highway tunnel connecting Manali to Leh under the Rohtang Pass in the eastern Pir Panjal range of Himalayas is now ready. The construction of the Atal Tunnel which is at a height of over 10,000 feet, has been completed in a span of 10 years whereas the original estimated time was less than six years
