Lighting up wherever you want in the Mother City might soon be a thing of the past, if the municipality has its way. Cape Town is part of a global network of cities working towards preventing non-communicable diseases and injuries, like those caused by lighting up. The City has committed to changing its smoking policies, in line with the National Tobacco Bill, which must still be promulgated.
