Huge fire destroys warehouse in Thailand
A large fire ripped through a warehouse in Pattaya, eastern Thailand, in the early hours of the morning (September 1). Flames spread through the building, believed to have been storing flammable materials, shortly after 1am local time.

Terrified residents living in nearby buildings fled as the inferno quickly spread following several loud explosions. Ten fire trucks and dozens of fire fighters spent more than two hours battling the inferno before it was brought under control.

Banglamung District and Pattaya City officials cordoned off the scene amid fears the building could collapse. They are now investigating the cause of the fire.
