Former eThekwini mayor Zandile Gumede will have to resign. That is after the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal reversed its decision to appoint her to the province's legislature. The provincial executive committee met with Gumede this morning. The move follows public outcry over the party’s decision to deploy Gumede to the legislature, despite facing fraud and corruption charges. Provincial Secretary Mdumiseni Ntuli explains.
