Jaylen Brown reacts to Jacob Blake shooting as Raptors mull boycott
  • 4 years ago
Police in Wisconsin shot an unarmed man seven times in the back during an attempted arrest after Jacob Blake tried to intervene in a domestic dispute. Blake narrowly survived and his family says he's paralyzed as a result of the shooting. Jaylen Brown responded to the incident after Celtics practice, demanding that American society rethink its framing of police shooting victims as deserving criminals and calling on people to vote. He said he'll never be able to look at his No. 7 jersey again and not think of Blake, who took seven shots. The Toronto Raptors are mulling a boycott of their series against the Celtics, Brown said the C's haven't discussed it themselves.
