Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the Hindi news channel journalist who was shot dead in Ballia district on Monday night. Expressing deepest condolences to the family of Ratan Singh, Yogi Adityanath assured all possible will be taken against the accused involved in the murder of the journalist. "Hon CM has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the family of the deceased Late Shri Ratan Singh. He has expressed his deepest condolences and also directed that all possible action be taken against the accused," Home ministry additional chief secretary said on Tuesday. Journalist Ratan Singh was killed in the Fefana area of the Balia district on Monday, the police said.
