Former India batsman Suresh Raina took to Twitter to congratulate Rohit Sharma on being conferred with the highest sporting honour of the country, Rohit's name featured in the list of five Khel Ratna awardees for 2020 whose names were released by the Indian Sports Ministry on Friday. In 2019, Rohit scored a staggering 1490 runs in the ODI format with as many as seven centuries.

रोहित शर्मा खेल का सर्वोच्च सम्मान राजीव गांधी खेल रत्न पुरस्कार पाने वाले भारत को चौथे क्रिकेटर हैं। रोहित को उनकी इस उपलब्धि के लिए बीसीसीआइ ने भी बधाई दी।
टीम इंडिया के पूर्व बल्लेबाज सुरेश रैना ने रोहित शर्मा को राजीव गांधी खेल रत्न सम्मान के लिए चयनित किए जाने पर उन्हें बधाई दी। उन्होंने ट्वीट करते हुए लिखा कि- भाई आपको मुबारक हो, आप सच में इस सम्मान को डीजर्व करते हो। आपने भारत को कई बार गौरवान्वित किया है।
