See-through toilets open for use in Japanese capital
  • 4 years ago
Three see-through public toilets have been placed in a park in the Japenese capital.

The walls of the conveniences in Yoyogi Fukamachi Mini Park are made of transparent glass which turns opaque when members of the public enter and lock the door.

The project is the work of the Nippon Foundation in collaboration with Tokyo's Shibuya district government to redesign public restrooms to allay fears about safety and hygiene.
