The Kerala government has strongly opposed the central government's decision to hand over three airports including Thiruvananthapuram to a private company for 50 years. The Kerala government says that this decision is contrary to the assurance given in a private meeting with the PM in Delhi. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said in a letter to PM Narendra Modi that this persistent request of Kerala has been ignored during the decision.

केंद्र सरकार ने तिरुवनंतपुरम सहित तीन एयरपोर्ट को 50 साल के लिए एक प्राइवेट कंपनी को देने के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दे दी है. केंद्र के इस फैसले से केरल सरकार नाराज हो गई है. सीएम पी विजयन ने कड़ा विरोध जताया है. उन्होंने इसको लेकर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को एक पत्र लिखा है. जिसमें कहा गया है कि केंद्र सरकार का ये फैसला पीएम के साथ दिल्‍ली में हुई निजी मीटिंग में दिए गए आश्‍वासन के लिए विपरीत है
