Beekeeper builds bed surrounded by bees for therapy
  • 4 years ago
A Romanian beekeeper is giving people the chance to experience what it is like to live in a beehive by putting a bed in a room surrounded by bees so stressed-out visitors can listen to the soothing hum of the insects at work. Vasile Nasca, 45, from the commune of Santana de Mures in the north-central Romanian county of Mures, told RealPress the humming of bees helps people to relax, stimulates the nervous system, and boosts hearing. Mr Nasca has built a special sound therapy cabin on his property and has a second one in the making. He has received 50,000 euros in EU-funding for the project, which he hopes will attract clients from all over Romania for daily sound therapy sessions. He said listening to bees is a therapeutic treatment for many ills, including people suffering from hearing loss, depression, migraines, stress, or fatigue.
