Hong Kong opposition activist Agnes Chow and Apple Daily founder Jimmy Lai released on bail

Jimmy Lai Chee-ying, the founder of Hong Kong tabloid-style newspaper Apple Daily, was released on bail in the early hours of August 12, 2020, more than 40 hours after he was arrested. Police also released 23-year-old political activist Agnes Chow Ting just before midnight.
