1st Generation of computer
Growth in the computer industry is determined by the development in technology based on the stages of development. The First Generation (1942–1955) the earliest computers were made possible by the invention of vacuum tubes. A Vacuum tube is a delicate glass device that can control and amplify electronic signals. The first generation computers were made using several vacuum tubes and were the fastest calculating devices of their time. The ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator And Calculator),EDVAC,UNIVA. belonged to the first generation of computers.
2nd Generation
1) invented in 1947 by john barden,Willian Shokley and Walten Brattian Electronic drive transistors
2) smaller and more reliable, move one location to another
3) generate less hate,miantain easier, processing speed increase, damage less
4)Need constant air-conditioning
5) production was very difficult and expensive
6) faster than 1st generation and less expensive
7) Assembly language instead machine language
8) Assembly language help programmer specify instruction form of words
9) strode grogram concept magnetic tape and magnetic disk---i like 1st gen
10) I/O on paper punch card
11) no commercial use
