In order to give a huge push to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the Defence Ministry on Sunday decided to impose a ban on 101 import items to boost indigenisation of defence production.

The annoucement was made on Twitter by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday who said that the defence ministry has prepared a list of 101 items for which there would be an embargo on the import beyond the timeline indicated against them. For more, watch the full video.
