US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called for “creative and assertive ways” to face China on July 23, 2020, in a speech at the Nixon Library in California where he noted that former US President Richard Nixon once said “he feared he had created a Frankenstein” by opening the world to the Chinese Communist Party.
