Ashok Gehlot vs Sachin Pilot: SC to hear Speaker’s plea against High Court order

The Supreme Court on Thursday will hear Rajasthan Assembly speaker CP Joshi’s plea against a high court order that had earlier restrained the Speaker from deciding the disqualification notices he had issued against former Deputy Rajasthan Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and Congress rebel MLAs till July 24.
The Rajasthan High Court had also restrained Speaker Joshi from conducting disqualification proceedings against these 19 Congress rebels, including Sachin Pilot.
This was after the Congress party had accused the rebel MLAs of trying to overthrow the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan with BJP. Sachin Pilot was also removed as the deputy chief minister of Rajasthan. For more, watch the full video.
