Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a host of other VIPs, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar, will attend the ground-breaking ceremony for the Ram temple in Ayodhya on August 5, the temple trust said. Grand preparations are on the ceremony, which will revolve around the installation of a 40 kg silver brick as the foundation stone by the Prime Minister, said the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra, which has been tasked with the temple building.

अयोध्या में पांच अगस्त को राम मंदिर के भूमि पूजन के लिए भव्य तैयारियां चल रही हैं. राम जन्मभूमि तीर्थ क्षेत्र ट्रस्ट के मुताबिक, प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी भूमि पूजन करेंगे. हालांकि, प्रधानमंत्री कार्यलाय की ओर से अभी इसकी पुष्टि नहीं की गई है. राम मंदिर का भूमि-पूजन अभिजीत मुहूर्त में 'सर्वार्थ सिद्धि योग' किया जाएगा. ताम्र कलश में गंगाजल और अन्य तीर्थों का जल लाकर पूजा की जाएगी. 3 अगस्त से पूजा-पाठ का काम शुरू हो जाएगा. माना जाता है कि अभिजीत मुहूर्त में भगवान राम का जन्म हुआ था. यूपी के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ भी भूमि-पूजन में शामिल होंगे.
