Elephant climbs tree to grab fruit for its breakfast in Thailand

This is the adorable moment an elephant was seen climb a tree to grab a fruit for its breakfast.

The hungry jumbo stood on its hind legs and used its trunk to pluck jackfruit from the branch on July 11.

The prized fruit finally rolled down after a few attempts before the elephant kicked it away from the tree like it was playing football. It then scooped it and carried it away to eat.

A park keeper recorded animal at the Thung Yai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary in Tak province in northern Thailand.

The wildlife ranger said: "This is what we see everyday, these cute animals looking for food near the office where people live. No one harms each other."

The Thung Yai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the northern region, is a protected area declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1972. The country has approximately 2,000 elephants that live in the wild.
