Corona vaccine is under development in India… but before that the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) approved the pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine developed by Serum Institute of India. The Union Health Ministry on Wednesday said that the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has given its approval for the first fully indigenous vaccine made in India for pneumonia.

भारत में कोरोना वैक्सीन पर तो काम चल रही रहा है...लेकिन उससे पहले ड्रग्स कंट्रोलर जनरल ऑफ इंडिया (DCGI) ने सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया की तरफ से विकसित न्यूमोकोकल पॉलीसैकराइड कंजुगेट वैक्सीन को मंजूरी दे दी। केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने बुधवार को बताया कि Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) ने न्यूमोनिया के लिए भारत में बने पहले पूरी तरह से स्वदेशी टीके यानी वैक्सीन को अपनी मंजूरी दे दी है.
