Chinese fireman dives into floodwater to open gate to evacuate stranded residents

A fireman in eastern China dived into deep floodwater to open a gate to evacuate the stranded people.

The video, shot in the city of Xuancheng in Anhui Province on July 6, shows a heroic fireman diving into the floodwater to lift up the bolt to open a gate for the stranded residents.

According to reports, a family was trapped in their house as they could not open the gate, which was then submerged by the rising waters.

After the fireman opened the gate for them, the stranded residents were all evacuated successfully.
