Rohit Sharma made a red-ball breakthrough last October when he scored three hundreds including a double ton against South Africa at home in his debut series as Test opener. Mike Hussey believes the hostile Australian conditions are bound to test any batsmen in the world, but the former cricketer has no doubts about the “ability and temperament” of Rohit Sharma, who according to him has the skills to excel at the topof the order during India’s tour Down Under later this year.

क्रिकेट अभी शुरू नहीं हुआ है. पर कयास लगाए जाने शुरू हो गए हैं. ऑस्ट्रेलिया का दौरा भारत को इस साल अक्टूबर के महीने में करना है. इसके बाद फिर दिसंबर में भी टीम जाएगी ऑस्ट्रेलिया. जहाँ, पर वनडे और टेस्ट सीरीज खेलेगी. लेकिन, उससे पहले भारत को अक्टूबर के महीने में तीन मैचों की टी20 सीरीज खेलनी है. इसी बीच ऑस्ट्रेलिया के पूर्व क्रिकेटर माइक हसी ने बड़ी भविष्यवाणी की है. उनका कहना है कि इस बार ऑस्ट्रेलिया में रोहित शर्मा मैच विनर साबित होंगे. और रोहित का बल्ला खूब चलेगा. गौरतलब है कि रोहित ने पिछले साल अक्टूबर में दक्षिण अफ्रीका के खिलाफ टेस्ट क्रिकेट में पहली बार सलामी बल्लेबाज के रूप में उतरकर शानदार प्रदर्शन किया था. वह पिंडली के चोट के कारण न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ दोनों टेस्ट में नहीं खेल पाये थे.
