All in One Workout Positions & Workout Tips By Health Coach Stacey Shapiro - Part 2

Just because the gyms are closed doesn’t mean you can’t move your body! As promised, here’s a home workout you can do literally anywhere and I collaborated to bring you all some epic home workouts this week!

Over the last few days, I’ve been seeing so many different articles about how to stay healthy, boost immune function, etc. But really, it’s bringing light to the fact that so many people neglect this on a regular basis.⠀

Why does it need to take a pandemic to make people rethink their health? ⠀

Immune and overall health should always be a priority, and this should come BEFORE weight loss and body composition goals. ⠀

Here are some nutrition goals to focus on for a healthy, strong body that will help you get through the tough times:⠀

Aim to eat a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables at each meal. Focusing on getting a variety of phytonutrients and micronutrients mean you’ll be getting all the vitamins and minerals your body needs to help fight off sickness. If you can’t find fresh produce right now, grab some frozen veggies! Or invest in a green or red juice powder! I take both Green and Red Juice from @organifi every single day. ⠀

Pair your fresh produce with a lean source of protein. This helps in keeping your body physically strong. If you’re having a hard time finding fresh sources of protein, grab some canned tuna, or a high quality protein powder. It may not be perfect, but it gets the job done!⠀

As your energy needs change (gym closures, social distancing, etc) make sure you monitor how much energy (calories) you’re consuming. The less you move, the less you need to consume. This will also help with rationing food if you don’t want to/can’t get to the grocery store. ⠀

‍♀️Regardless of the circumstances, you can still find time to move your body. You might be moving less, but choosing to take time to do at home movement not only helps strengthen your body, but it strengthens your mind too. It’s easy to get in a funk, so keep a movement routine to keep endorphins up! ⠀

Questions about nutrition and movement during this time? I’ll be posting more tips throughout the week! ⠀

Enjoy this video of a physical challenge I tried with @timchansd and @theepilogs that you can try at home if you need a playful workout‍♀️

I’ve been feeling pretty under the weather this week, so lighter, less intense workouts have been on the menu. ⠀

Sometimes moving a little is better than not moving at all. ⠀

Here’s a quick shoulder burn for you:⠀

▪4x8 strict press⠀
▪4x8 bentover rows ⠀
▪(Superset with 10 pushups if you’re feeling it!)⠀
▪4x10 front delt raises ⠀
▪4x15 lateral raises⠀

If it’s that time of the year where you’re starting to feel a little under the weather, it’s time to dial in the nutrition.
