SSU’S S.W.A.T. TEAM CONDUCTS MOCK EXERCISE OF RESCUE OPERATION & EMERGENCY RESPONSE AT CHINESE CONSULATE

June 25, 2020, Karachi: Under the directives of Deputy Inspector General of Police Security & Emergency Services Division Maqsood Ahmed, S.W.A.T (Special Weapons and Tactics) team of Special Security Unit, Sindh Police conducted a mock exercise of rescue operation and emergency response jointly with Sindh Rangers and in collaboration with all stake holders at Chinese Consulate Karachi here today.

The team comprising of DSP and NGOs led by SP Raja Muhammad Arshad conducted a mock exercise with regard to crackdown against terrorists or anti-social elements in case of any untoward/terror incident.

Special Security Unit’s S.W.A.T team is Pakistan’s first ever team of professionally trained commandos equipped with latest weapons and communication system was constituted as quick response force to challenge any emergency situation if created by the anti-social elements /terrorists.

The Consulate officials appreciated the preparedness and professionalism of S.W.A.T team to overcome any untoward/terror incident. Moreover, expressing their views the officials stated that Special Security Unit has proved to be one of the force meeting international standards which has full potential to deal with any emergency situation.
