Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi had last week confirmed that he tested positive for coronavirus. Afridi had taken to Twitter to confirm the news and urged his fans to pray for his speedy recovery. Ever since Afridi's announcement, there have been rumours on Twitter that the former all-rounder's health has been degrading.

Afridi on Wednesday decided to go live on Facebook from his home to address the rumours about his health and assured his fans that he is recovering well from COVID-19. The contagious coronavirus has spread in hundreds of countries across the globes, infecting more than eight million people while claiming the lives of four lakh people.

Afridi was the second international cricketer from Pakistan to test positive for COVID-19 after former batsman Taufeeq Umar. Providing an update on his health, Afridi said the first couple of days were tough for him but now his condition has been improving.

"Wanted to make this video as I have been hearing a lot about my health on social media since the past few days. First 2-3 days were tough for me but my condition has been improving I miss my children, miss hugging them but it is important to take precautions," said Afridi on Facebook live.
