Walmart’s new partnership with Shopify is a strategic move to expand its online business. According to Business Insider, Shopify provides e-commerce tools to more than one million small and large businesses. The company provides tools like payment and inventory management with monthly fees that start at $29. The partnership allows Shopify sellers to list their items on Walmart.com, giving the store a larger assortment of goods. Walmart said third-party sales outpaced first-party sales in the first quarter of 2020.
