The super cyclone Amfan lifted from the Bay of Bengal has rapidly reached the coastline of West Bengal and Odisha. Its effect has also started showing in Odisha. Rain has started in many areas of the state with strong wind. In view of the storm of Amfan, the work of evacuating people living in the coastal region of Digha on the Odisha-Bengal border on Tuesday night was completed. About one lakh people have been evacuated from 13 districts of Odisha to a safe place.

बंगाल की खाड़ी से उठा सुपर साइक्लोन अम्फान तेजी से पश्चिम बंगाल और ओडिशा के समुद्री तट के करीब पहुंच गया है. ओडिशा में इसका असर भी दिखना शुरू हो गया है. प्रदेश के कई इलाकों में तेज हवा के साथ बारिश शुरू हो गई है. अम्फान तूफान को देखते हुए मंगलवार देर रात ओडिशा-बंगाल बॉर्डर पर दीघा के तटीय क्षेत्र में रहने वाले लोगों को निकालने का काम पूरा कर लिया गया. ओडिशा के 13 जिलों से करीब एक लाख लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थान पर पहुंचाया गया है.
