The government of Uttar Pradesh has revoked the notification of exemption for providing registered factories under the labor laws to young workers for 12 hours a day with certain conditions. The Allahabad High Court had issued a notice to the UP government in the matter. After which the Yogi government has changed its decision. After the withdrawal of the amendment in the factory act, the period for getting workers to work in the state has now been increased to a maximum of eight hours.

उत्‍तर प्रदेश सरकार ने श्रम कानूनों के तहत रजिस्टर्ड कारखानों को युवा श्रमिकों से कुछ शर्तों के साथ एक दिन में 12 घंटे तक काम कराने संबंधी छूट की अधिसूचना को हफ्ते भर बाद ही निरस्त कर दिया है. मामले में इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट ने यूपी सरकार को नोटिस जारी किया था. जिसके बाद योगी सरकार ने अपना फैसला बदल दिया है. फैक्ट्री ऐक्ट में संशोधन को वापस लिए जाने के बाद प्रदेश में अब फिर श्रमिकों से काम कराने की अवधि अधिकतम आठ घंटे हो गई है.
