Tea Music 3_6 Three Years 三年

A wild goose cries out, as the sun’s last rays of the day grazes across the wildflowers, then disappear toward the horizon. This song was created to appear in the 1958 Shaw Brothers remake of the film It Happened One Night, in turn based on Leo Tolstoy’s final novel Resurrection. The song, performed by Li Xianglan, with its graceful melody and minimalistic tone, stood out starkly from within the film’s cold, tragic atmosphere, and went on to become a timeless classic. As the world is shrouded in evening shade, the cello, piano and guitar each sing their melancholy tunes, while the embrace of love eternal remains as vivid as memories of yesteryear.
