In Hinduism, Tritiya of Shukla Paksha of Baisakh month has been given special significance. It is celebrated all over the country as a festival of Akshaya Tritiya. According to the mythological texts, the auspicious results of whatever auspicious work is done on this day. This is why it's called "Akshay Tritya". On this day, even if you buy things and bring them home, there is a renewable growth in it. Buying gold on this day is considered very auspicious.
