A Russian ultra marathon runner has completed a 10-hour run around his bed amid a lockdown imposed as part of measures to help stop the spread of the new coronavirus.

Inspired by a marathon completed by a French runner on his balcony, Dmitry Yakukhny - a Vladivostok-based runner who specialises in races longer than the traditional marathon length of 42 kilometres (26 miles) - set out to complete the distance of 100 kilometres (62 miles) in his bedroom.
