General Election 2019: Congress, BJP trying to woo farmers

As poll dates for Lok Sabha election have been announced, all eyes are on PM Modi-led BJP and Rahul Gandhi-headed Congress. The biggest Opposition party Congress and ruling BJP both are trying to woo farmers. Famers’ loan has been at the centre of politics in every election. Modi government’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi and Minimum Support Price (MSP) are the big hope for BJP, while Congress is making effort to mobilise farmers promising them the agricultural loan if the grand old party comes to power.
