Apart from extending the lockdown in the country till May 3, the government also announced a scheme for the relief of the poor. The central government has announced to give 5-5 kg ​​of food grains to the 80 crore poor every month for the next three months.

कोरोना से जारी जंग के बीच प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने मंगलवार को 3 मई तक के लिए लॉकडाउन बढ़ाने का ऐलान कर दिया. देश में लॉकडाउन 3 मई तक बढ़ाने के साथ ही सरकार ने गरीबों की राहत की योजना का भी ऐलान कर दिया. केंद्र सरकार ने अगले तीन महीनों तक 80 करोड़ गरीबों को हर महीने 5-5 किलो अनाज मुफ्त में देने का ऐलान किया है.
