BOSTON — As the sports world are in their 3rd week of suspended play due to Covid-19, President Donald J. Trump and the professional sports’ commissioners gathered on a conference call to discuss how to best handle playing out the remainder of their respective seasons. Donald Trump proclaimed that he wanted to coronavirus to end prior to the NFL season and expects that American Football will proceed with an uninterrupted schedule. 2020 has brought unimaginable obstacles to professional basketball including, the death of former NBA Commissioner and league patriarch, David Stern, the tragic helicopter accident that ended Lakers’ legend, Kobe Bryant and his young daughter Gianna’s lives, and now the first of all major sports to have players infected by this global pandemic. No one can dispute that Commissioner Adam Silver has risen above these tragic occurrences to lead the way for all major sports in action taken to shut down game play until the virus had no longer presented danger to the lives of his players and the league’s fans.

Saturday, CLNS Founder, Nick Gelso is joined by CLNS’ Celtics Beat Reporter, Josue Pavon and his co-host, NBA legend and longtime color analyst of the Boston Celtics, Cedric Maxwell.

The trio talk Trump, the league commissioners and the impact of Covid-19 on sports as well as the city of Boston.
